Krista Malone is a school counselor in an elementary school in Ohio, with over 15 years of experience working with kids and families. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University, and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Dayton. She received a second Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from The Ohio State University. She’s a licensed K-12 counselor, in addition to holding a certification as a Functional Behavior Assessment trainer through the PA Bureau of Autism Services. She works with parents on behavioral strategies, provides skills instruction in the classroom, and leads small group and individual counseling to students with a range of social and emotional needs. Her work has centered around anxiety, autism, ADHD, grief, various behavioral challenges, discipline, and more. As a parent to a child who has anxiety, this particular challenge hits close to home for Krista and she has a special passion for helping parents with similar challenges. Other expertise centers on grief work, co-parenting, and consistency in discipline. Krista loves helping parents feel empowered and develop the skills to practice intentional parenting.
