Laura received a B.A in Psychology from the University of Delaware and a M.A. and Ed.S in School Psychology from Rowan University. She is currently a full-time practicing School Psychologist in New Jersey, and proud mom to an 11 year old son, 9 year old daughter, and 5 year old daughter. Her passion lies in early childhood education, and she has serviced a large amount of students in a public preschool setting, as well as combined fifteen years of experience servicing preschool through elementary aged students. She has also had the privilege of working with many military families. As a school psychologist, she works with children with a variety of needs including developmental delays, learning disabilities, and social/emotional challenges, discovering children’s unique strengths, while also identifying needs and formulating collaborative plans to support growth. She is especially interested in helping children understand and express their emotions, develop appropriate ways of coping with challenges, understand social situations, and develop a strong sense of self. Laura is passionate about honoring each child’s unique personality and temperament and helping children and families grow in their resiliency. She is a strong proponent of relationship building and helping create fun, meaningful learning experiences. Personally, Laura loves coffee, exercise, reading, chocolate, and spending time outdoors and down the shore with my family. She is super excited to be part of a community working hand in hand with families, and as is a strong believer that it takes a village to raise a child. Laura is looking forward to being part of your village!
